In this page we introduce 4-step guidelines for team creation procedures and submitting predictions as a team.




Step 1: Send invitation email


Click the "Team up" button on the competition page and proceed to the team creation page. As a team leader, enter a unique team name and email addresses you want to invite to your team.


* Team creation period and maximum number of participants vary by competition. Please see each competition detail page for details.

* Competitions with team-up function disabled only accept individual entries.




Step 2: Sharing an invite link


By clicking the "Join this team" in the email, the invited member are finalized to join the team. Note the email gets expired within 72 hours. Even if the email gets expired, you can resend it within the team creation deadline.


* Deactivating team leader's account instantly expires invitation emails.

* You must read and agree to the terms of the competition.

* In order to join a team, SIGNATE account is required.





Step 3: Sharing ideas with your teammates


Anyone in your team is able to submit and manage predictions. Please note that you have submission limit per team.

You can also view other team member's submission comments. Share ideas within your team and aim at winning a prize.


* A notification email of submission result will be sent to all the members.

* Only submitter can create and edit its memos.





Step 4: Leaderboard rankings


You can see the team rankings on the leaderboard in the same manner as solo participation.

Click the other team's icons to see their members.


* Solo participants and teams rankings are displayed on the same leaderboard.





Glossary



Team

  • Team is consisted of one team leader account and other member's accounts
  • A team can be created for each competition.
  • You cannot leave a team once you join it.


Team leader's role

  • A user who created a team in the competition page is regarded as a team leader.
  • Only a team leader can add new members and modify the team name.
  • Upon the procedures such as winning model documentation, we ask a team leader to be a contact person.
  • We also ask a team leader to provide its bank account information to transfer the prize money.
  • Deactivating a team leader's account may give disadvantages to rest of the team members. Please refer to "Deactivating a team leader's account" for details.


Team creation deadline

  • You will not be able to create a team after the team creation deadline date.
  • Team creation duration varies depending on the competition. Please refer to the competition details page for details.
  • You can only add new members within the deadline.
  • You can still modify your team name after the deadline.


Naming a team

  • Team name must be 2 or more alphanumeric characters and 20 or less characters. Valid special characters are "-" and "_".
  • You cannot use other existing team names and users names as your team name.
  • Only the team names set by the team leader before can be reused.
  • Team name should not contain the invalid string: signate
  • Only a team leader can modify the team name through the "Team settings" on the competition page.


Inviting members

  • In order to add a new member to your team, he or she must:
    • not belong to another team.
  • A user who got an invitation email can join the team by clicking the link in the email within 72 hours.
  • In order to join the team, he or she must read and agree to the teams of the competition.
  • If the email got expired after 72 hours, the team leader have to resend the invitation email.
  • When a user got invitation emails from different teams, its joining one of them will expire the other invitations.
  • Number of users can be invited varies depending on the comeptition. Please refer to each competition details page for details.


Adding new members

  • Only a team leader can add members through the "Team settings" on the competition page.
  • You can add new members within the deadline and within the maximum number of team members.
  • You cannot modify existing team members. Also, a team member cannot leave the team once he or she joins it.
  • You cannot add a member to your team who already belongs to another team.


Submitting and selecting submissions

  • A notification email of submission result will be sent to all the members.
  • Please note that you have submission limit per team. Once your team reaches the maximum submission count per day (for example 5), all the members cannot submit predictions until the date (JST) changes.
  • Your joining a team will regard all your former submissions as the team's ones.
  • When a new member joins for the first time after the team creation:
    • in case more than two team members already made submissions, the submission with the highest score will be automatically selected.
    • if all team members have not made any submissions yet, it will be displayed as no submission selected.
  • You cannot select the submissions made by the deactivated member's accounts.


Submission memos

  • Submission memos cannot be viewed and shared with someone outside your team.
  • Only submitter can create and edit its memos.
  • Your submission memos can be viewed by other team members.


Points and medals awarding

  • The ranking points awarded after each competition are given for each of the team members by dividing the points earned as the team by number of team members.
  • The medals earned as the team are awarded for each of the team members.

Deactivating a team leader's account

  • Deactivating team leader's account instantly disband the team where:
    • the former member loses the eligibility of claim a prize.
    • the former member can no longer submit new predictions.


Deactivating team member's accounts

  • Deactivating team member's accounts do not disband the team.
  • When one of the team member's account is deactivated, the team cannot select its submissions.
  • When all team member's accounts except the leader's are deactivated, the team will be regard as a solo member team.
